Carri is an ERYT-500 and has been teaching yoga and fitness full time since 2007, leading 22 retreats and trainings all over the globe with her company Drishti Yoga Teacher Training.

Her passion for yoga began as an outdoor enthusiast and gym rat seeking flexibility and cross training after thru hiking the entire Appalachian Trail in 1999. During her first Ashtanga class she was fascinated that she could work hard and sweat yet feel relaxed all at the same time.

Coming from a sports background, she appreciated the non-competitive and non-judgmental spirit in yoga.

Carrie enjoys guiding students to a place of curiosity and investigation in their practice and empowers others to cultivate inner strength and confidence to live an epic life.

She credits her sustainable 25-year yoga practice with the balance of Yin, Restorative and Nidra, plus plenty of food and laughter.
She enjoys adventure travel and spent one year backpacking in Central & South America and 18 months in Europe with her husband of 25 years. Most of all, she just likes to have fun!

With no shortage of mental illness in Carri’s family, she was drawn to support American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. As a foolish young teenager, Carri was often afraid for herself. As a happy, functioning adult, she’s now concerned for others. Together we can instill courage, hope and talk away the dark.
