About Us

A Nonprofit Yoga Community

Who We Are

Giving Hearts Yoga is a nonprofit yoga community that is centered entirely around giving – to yourself and to others.

This platform was designed to lift up our community by spreading awareness and raising funding for the causes that matter most to our teachers. We offer free/donation based online yoga classes weekly with the option to donate in a few different ways. All donations are, and will always be, completely optional.

We are a 501(c)(3) organizationRead more.Giving Hearts Yoga is a U.S. tax exempt organization under Internal Revenue Service Act Section 501(c)(3). Our Tax ID number is 85-2460116. and all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law, so start saving your receipts and talk to your accountant! Even if you can only afford to donate a little, know that there is no donation (over $1 due to transaction fees) that is too small!  Dollars and cents can really add up to make a difference!

Who We Support

Teachers

We support all teachers who wish to utilize their gifts to lift others up because we genuinely believe that in lifting others up, we lift ourselves up.

Our Featured Teachers may select any registered 501(c)(3) organization that their students, friends, and family can choose to make a donation towards and in support of them, raising awareness and funding for the causes that they are passionate about, or they may choose from one of our three selected nonprofits listed below for proceeds from their donation based classes and donations dedicated to them to go towards.

Our Community

We support our community by offering donation based yoga classes to raise funding for people in need.

Students can take care of themselves while also taking care of others and supporting their favorite teachers. In addition to the nonprofits chosen by our teachers, we have selected 3 nonprofits that help people that have been especially affected by these difficult times (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Innocence Project, and Connections for Abused Women and their Children) that teachers may choose for proceeds from their donation based classes and donations dedicated to them to go towards. Anyone Who Wants to Contribute Towards Positive Change

Often it is the smallest acts of kindness that have the most profound impact on others, whether you are ever aware of it or not.

Times are hard, and many people may not be in a place to donate financially – that is OK! Donations need not be financial, you can donate your time, energy, and skills to do something kind for someone else!  We would LOVE for you to share your story with us here or on Instagram, make sure to tag @givingheartsyoga on Instagram! Earlier we said that no donation is too small, that statement applies here as well. There is no act of kindness that is too small. Kindness is not only magic, it is contagious, let’s spread it out!

Our Story

The beautiful lotus flower only emerges out of the hard times, out of the mud.

Giving Hearts Yoga emerged out of quarantine during the Pandemic, which had left us feeling isolated, helpless, and wishing that we could do more to help people. We created Giving Hearts Yoga because we wanted to utilize yoga to help people in need and provide other like-minded teachers a platform to do the same.

With the seemingly never-ending string of tragedies attendant to this past year (or two), it is easy to feel down, like everything is just covered in mud. Giving Hearts Yoga was formed to create a place where like-minded people could come together as a community, wherever they are, and try to do something good for themselves and others. It is our sincerest hope that this platform be an avenue for people to channel their inner lotus flower to make something beautiful out of a bad situation.

Whether this Pandemic has left you feeling empty with little to give or helpless and wishing that you could do more, let Giving Hearts Yoga be a refuge for you. Let’s see if we can try to do something good, together.
